Tim I am sorry I disagree with you on this issue.  As an outright libertarian I feel the owner of this restaurant has a right to spend his money anyway he sees fit.  If you do not agree with him don't eat there.  When it comes to marriage equality I don't understand why the government is involved in a private contract between two or more people.  I would watch using the southern poverty law center because they are one of the most racist groups going in my opinion.  They think sheriff Mack and oath keepers are a hate group.  I think we have more things to worry about than marriage equality and gay rights.  For example NDAA, Patriot Act, Drowns policing our cities, cameras watching every move we make, war in Iraq, maybe Iran, war on drugs, equal ballot access for third parties, tsa molesting kids and old ladies at our airports to name a few.  I think these things I mentioned are more important that two guys getting married.

I didn't say that he doesn't have the right to spend his money as he sees fit.  No where did I say that.  Free speech works both ways.  That was my point.

I don't agree with what the mayors did who blocked Chick-fil-A from building stores in their cities, but I do not think that protesting or merely expressing a counter opinion is tantamount to a violation of his rights.

Okay then I took it wrong.  I will say thank you for fighting as hard as you do for gay rights. I just don't think that is the governments place to tell anyone who they can love or who the cant.  That is what marriage licences do and I don't want or need their approval.  I been together with the same man for over 17 years and next month it will be 18 we been together.  A lot of straight people cant say that.

Thanks again for you hard work, and keep up the good fight. Grin

If my employer wants to fire me for being gay that his right to an ass and a bigot, and he or she will see me in court.  My sex life has nothing to with my work life, and to fire someone for just being gay is an issue that the courts should handle.  I wounder what would happen if someone fired a black man or woman if that would be okay too?

That's the way I see it too.  Not everybody here feels that way though.
