They can't do this can they?

Of course they can! Just as they can create administrative agencies that make law but this is MORE LEGAL because the real Congress will, in the end, sign off on it, actually voting on the law instead of delegating the authority to the Administrative Agency.

The NEW CONGRESS language used by the author is just his phrase. Don't be confused by it.

This 12-member panel will need a leader.  I propose they title the position "Chancellor".

Sounds like the little experiment they're doing in Benton Harbor, MI is eventually going to apply to the USA.

So a panel, make exclusively of Republicans and Democrats, no mention of any other parties aloud to be involved, get to push any agenda and no one takes any responsibility of this new "shadow gov't" and it is just fine.

Everyone is up in arms about this issue, as am I.  The crimes of the IMF against the rest of the world will wash up to the US very shortly, and we'll soon find ourselves at the mercy of this banking cartel-control of our government.  When the economy really starts to collapse, they'll have their provincial government already worked out.  Kinda like Dr. Strangelove without the nuclear war Smiley

I'm freaking!  To the point it's keeping me up.  How do we stop this?

Want to disarm the masses with out all that pesky NRA stuff? call in the new congress..
Abortion without all the Prolife, Prochoice demonstrations? New Congress
Strip the Unions and hand the whole world to Walmart?  The answer is all worked out.

So while we sit here and cry about calling each other bad names and censer our OWN board, scream and whine that we can't come to any usable and decent agreements long enough to take any kind of action, the entire framework of our country is being taken away from us and handed to people we DONT vote for that will no longer be held accountable for their actions.

Sorry Mr Stevens, but here it is....
FUCK! Ok, you can kick me off now.....

Again. I did not want or support the appointment of a Moderator. I support unrestricted free speech but your LPPA Board of Directors support the Communications Policy and wanted a Moderator. I stepped forward only to STOP the mass suspensions of Forum posters. David Jahn even wanted a list of BAD WORDS people would be forbidden to post, which I oppose. Given the current Communications Policy, though, your use of FUCK could be considered a violation as a RUDE WORD. These are the leaders of your LPPA!

Just messing with ya, I wouldn't want your job.  But the word was well used, within context and, I feel, constructive! Cheesy

Tell me that you read that article and that isn't your reaction...It's so 1984!  The Republik for which we stand, in social conformity, to the one flag of the state, under our Government, Hail to the One God-King!

Michelle's use of the word wasn't offensive, but we have others on this list who can border on vulgar.  We also have spammers hitting this and every other forum in the world peddling their goods which can also be offensive.  When people are exploring our party, the last thing they need to see is a forum loaded with personal attacks and vulgarity.  We may also have school age children following this forum.

It shouldn't be that difficult for anyone to say what they want to say without violating the communications policy, which has been in place for perhaps eight years by the way.

For the record, I don't believe the board wanted anyone kicked off the site.  At worst, offensive post would be removed or simply redacted, after which I expect the author of the offensive post would find another way to convey their point of view.  There is no desire to censor ideas or criticism as long as they are presented with some semblance of decency.

I have learned to get by at both my home and work without using foul language.  I believe we could communicate on this forum without it as well.

Now let's get to work testing the fences and see how Dr Tom does. Grin

I hope nobody starts "testing the fences"! My wish is to never have to use my power as Moderator in any way. I hope everyone uses good judgment from now on.
