She sounds distinctly un-libertarian on other issues, such as the US military doing God's work in Iraq, and her talking about doing God's work to build the natural gas pipeline through Canada (although I suppose as long as God can pay for it that's OK).

At first I thought this might be a great pitch to attract the libertarian wing of the R party, but now I am convinced this is clearly aimed at conservatives. The reason this is so is because there is not any significant libertarian faction left in the R party.

Look at how Ron Paul was treated at the convention. Democrats were more welcome than he was. Maybe she does have some libertarian leanings, but rest assured that will soon be corrected.

My wife who doesn't follow the candidates that much watched Palin's speech at the RNC and has a real issue with her.  Her boss and sister also don't have a high opinion of her.  It seems like Palin is failing to score with the smart, independent professional women segment!
