If you're getting tired of all that negative Bonusgate stuff that gives our state legislature a black eye, then let's see what else our legislators are up to.  Well, here's a fine story in today's PG:

Toll on integrity: The turnpike chairman owes the public an answer
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/08235/906150-192.stm

Here are a few key sentences:

Federal prosecutors lodged a bigger criminal fraud case this week against state Sen. Vincent Fumo -- $1.5 million bigger, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court.

The new filing is a bigger deal also because it names Mitchell Rubin, chairman of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, as a "ghost" employee of the senator. The document states he "was paid $30,000 per year for five years, in return for no work at all."

There might be a few other  "key sentences" before this is over.

Mark

PS -- Is it just me or is anyone else getting the impression that it might be cheaper to wall off the entire capitol, add barbed wire and guards, then just build a new one elsewhere?
