Video is available of a debate about REAL ID in the PA House.  The message below gives the links and offers some insights to the political leanings of the leadership in the PA House.

Subject: Real ID Floor Debates!!!!!

The PA House FLOOR DEBATE on Rep. Rohrer's amendment (which would have stopped biometric data collection on PA citizens) to Rep. Thomas' Real ID bill (which is utterly worthless without the Rohrer amendment) is NOW AVAILABLE on line.  It was a LONG debate (1 hour 30 minute run time for Part 1).

One of the reasons it took so long to debate, you will notice IMMEDIATELY how Rep. Thomas interrupts repeatedly Rep. Rohrer as he tries to explain the contract between PennDOT and Viisage.  Obviously, the Democrats DO NOT want that contract jeopardized, nor do they want the actions of the Rendell Administration (which violate our liberties) to be made known.

Well, it is UP TO US TO MAKE IT KNOWN, and this video is powerful debate on Real ID generally, as well as nailing specific rights-infringements being conducted with the blessings of PennDOT/Rendell.  Hopefully some national media/alternative media will pick this up.  There could be a dozen articles written from this “stand up comedy” from certain PA legislators.

As the debate progresses, pay close attention to the comments from people who we THOUGHT were on our side.  One of my greatest disappointments in this debate came from Rep. Cohen.  He was a sponsor of the anti-biometric HB 1351 (still stuck in the IGA Committee), yet he spoke AGAINST an amendment to Thomas' bill that would simply have converted Thomas’ worthless verbiage back to the 1351 language.

These are the people it would be nice to REPLACE at the upcoming election!

Also note (and thank them) the powerful comments of our allies.

This was a hot and heavy fight, and only a few votes separated us from winning.  If we can replace the dead weight, and install some additional hard-core warriors for liberty, maybe we can reverse this outcome.

There are only 10 days of Senate session coming this fall prior to the elections.  THEREFORE, we MUST prevail on the Senate to KILL the Thomas bill, and favorably report Senator Folmer's SB 1220.

There is a PART TWO to the House floor debate.  That is located HERE:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3796157303664377736&hl=en  (Rep. Cohen is speaking at the beginning of this portion of the debate.)

We must work HARDER on those members (both legislative branches) to increase the number of law-makers who UNDERSTAND the Real ID issue, along with biometrics.  MUCH mis-information is blathered by those who call the Rohrer Amendment something that would hinder legitimate law enforcement against sex predators, etc.  I was aghast at some of the comments, and the people who said them NEED TO BE CORRECTED by their electorate.

TAKE IT TO THEM FOLKS!

LEARN what is being said by the members in these videos.  COUNTER the arguments with TRUTH, and SPEAK IT TO THEM LOUDLY!

This information is EQUALLY IMPORTANT in ALL STATES, because of the existence of contracts between other state DMV's and L-1 companies.

LEARN, COUNTER & COMMUNICATE!
