This email alert announces an on-line video of a press conference involving Rep. Sam Rorher and his efforts to stop REAL ID in PA.  I have not seen the video yet, but the focus is how biometric information is already being collected either without permission or illegally by ignoring the law.

Please pass this around to the “viral” level.  This explains the biometrics/contract components of Real ID in a way that state legislators will understand.  The research in this video is UNEQUALLED ANYWHERE ELSE IN AMERICA!

Even in states that have “said no” to Real ID generally – the collecting of biometric photographs is ONGOING via these types of contracts!  We now are in possession of the PennDOT- Viisage document (Sam holds it up during the press conference).  Ironically, there is an “Arkansas” insignia on a number of the pages of the PENNSYLVANIA contract!  We can easily presume that this format & contract structure is in place in virtually EVERY state now!  It MUST BE STOPPED.

One of our strategies going into 2009 will be to attack DIRECTLY at the contracts between L-1 Identity Solutions (and its subsidiaries) and the assorted state motor vehicle departments.
