Minutes from March 20, 2008
Attendees:

Cheryl Gordon reported that we now have $1,886.74 in the treasury, which includes proceeds from the 2006 convention and $25 from the sale of DVDs.
Bill Keslar reported on the combined convention of New Jersey/Philly and said that Ken Krawchuk moderated and there was a good turnout.
Barry announced that the state party needs a Press Secretary and there are openings on the Membership Committee, as well as on the Programs/Speakers Committee.
Barry encouraged people to sign up to attend the 2008 National Convention in Denver in November, 2008.
New business:
Smoke Freedom Day held at the Hilton was covered by Channel 21 and was a success. Therefore it will be held again-next time at Molly Branagins on April 28 @ 5:30 p.m.
Everyone was encouraged to attend the income tax protest at 6:00 p.m. on Crooked Hill Road in Harrisburg.
Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.

Dauphin County Libertarian Party
Meeting Minutes for January 18, 2007
Attendees: RN, CG, JG, BD, SKM, GS, WH, EE, RE, KC, WB.
BD opened the meeting by stating that the Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania will be holding its convention in Harrisburg on Saturday, May 5 at the Radisson.
He reported that state party has approximately $8K in the bank and will be hiring an Executive Director to work approximately 20 hours per week for a $400 monthly stipend.
RN then introduced GS who addressed the group, making the following points as to why reform is not imminent: · Pro-Tempore Scarnati is a Jubilerer pawn · Perzel is still on the scene as “Speaker Emeritus” · $215 million surplus controlled by leadership · Ballot access not on the reform agenda · No Libertarian candidate running for judge
GS encouraged the group to vote NO on judicial retention.
He stated that several suits are ongoing:
· A suit requiring that the Auditor General audit the legislature · A challenge to legislative perks
--Salary and mileage are the only compensation allowed according to the Constitution
Two new suits have been filed: · A challenge to free, unlimited casino drinks o No debate, 11th hour vote—violating the first and fourth sections of article 3 of the PA Constitution. · A challenge to the judicial payraise o No right to sever that section of the bill o Challenge to federal linkage
BD addressed the group, announcing the May 8 convention in Denver Colorado. He made a motion to buy 200 copies of Aaron Russo’s Freedom to Fascism for $1.50 per copy. WH and JG seconded the motion.
BD announced that there will be four meetings per year—80 percent dedicated to outreach. The group agreed to align itself with STOMP (Stop Taking Our Money and Property) activities as part of its outreach attempts.
WH opened the 2007 DCLP nominations and the following were elected:
* BD—Chair * WH—Vice Chair * CG—Treasurer * SKM—Secretary
RN agreed to be the Representative to the State Committee. The following meeting dates were announced: * Feb.15 * May 17 * August 16 * October 18 * Convention: November 15
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.

Meeting Minutes October 26, 2007 Attendees: RN, CG, JG, BD, SKM, WH, EE, CB Treasurer CG reported that we now have $2,059.95 in the treasury. 300 Constitution booklets have been purchased through CATO: 150 for CumberlandCounty and 150 for DauphinCounty. BD encouraged attendees to sign up for the Libertarian meetup on the internet and stressed that this avenue for increasing meeting attendance will be pursued in upcoming months. BD also encouraged the group to register for the National Convention which will take place in Denver in May, 2008. New Business: The Liberty Rally will occur on Saturday, November 10 in Philadelphia, with Ron Paul as keynote speaker. http://philly.ronpaulrally.org/The Dauphin County Libertarian Party (DCLP) Convention will be held on November 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hilton in Harrisburg. Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. The next DCLP meeting will be held the month after the DCLP convention on Thursday, December 13, 2007.

DCLP Meeting Meeting Minutes 10/16/08
Present: Barry D., Jim G., Cheryl G., Tim B., Ray N.
Meeting opened at 7pm
Chair Barry D. welcomed everyone
2 Party = 0 Choice very popular and around Harrisburg, discussion was made to get more signs
Treasurer Cheryl G. gave balance of $1,949.80
Libertarians in the news was distributed
New Business – Motion and 2nd to commit up to $350.00 to send next issue of the LibPENN, Motion Passed
Next meeting is November 20th at the Hilton Harrisburg
Discussion regarding location of future meetings.
Meeting adjourned at 7:56pm

Dauphin County Libertarian Party Meeting Minutes November 20, 2008
Attendees: BD, MM, SM, EE, RN, WH
It was reported that we now have $1,725.80 in the treasury.
BD reported that 357 Libertarian Penns were sent to dues-paying Libertarians via usps and an additional 2,000 free Libertarian Penns were sent out statewide.
New Business:
The group elected the following new DCLP Board members:
Chair: Barry Dively Vice Chair: Jim Gordon DCLP Representative to the State Party: Ray Nelson Treasurer: Cheryl Gordon Secretary: Stephanie Kalina-Metzger
The following DCLP meeting dates were set as follows:
2/19/08, 3/19/08, 5/21/08, 9/17/08, 10/15/08, 11/19 (county convention), 6 p.m. social/7:00 meeting
Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
Next DCLP meeting: Thursday, February 19, 2008
