Do you have something to say? Who am I kidding, we're Libertarians. So why not join the LibPENN, the LPPA Official Newsletter, committee. Minimal commitment and you can work from home on your own schedule. You basically write Libertarian articles that you feel others would enjoy reading, send it in and your done. Interested? Contact weneedjohngalt9@yahoo.com for more information. I will need a) the title of your article b) a due date you feel you can have this submitted Barry

In terms of being creative, I am absolutely horrible at that, but at least I can proofread to an extent. I just have a tendency to write redundantly and use too many commas. To be more specific, what type of articles are you looking for and how many would one be required to submit per month?

I might be willing to contribute a written article of my own on occasion. I would like to hear more about it, though, before I make a commitment. How often will this newsletter be published?

Basically write any kind of Libertarian article that you feel other Libertarians in PA would enjoy reading. What kind of articles? Current events are always popular and even better if they are Pennsylvania specific. You can submit one per month or one per year, your call. We are shooting for bi-monthly publications of the LibPENN. To get you started, all I need is a title of your masterpiece and a due date you decide. 500-1000 words recommended..... Email me at weneedjohngalt9@yahoo.com with any questions. Barry

Thank you everyone. We are off to an outstanding start. We have 13 on our LibPENN Committee* and already 10 articles, yes 10, turned in. Keep them coming. If you submitted one and it's, not in the next issue don't fret, just prioritizing for relevance and time-line. Thanks again and have a great Independence Day. On this day our founders signed a document and fought for our liberty. They would be proud of us. If they would have loss this battle, they would have been hung for sure, property seized and family persecuted for treason. How many of our current government leaders would take that risk? (Ron Paul for sure) Keep the fight. Barry *if you would like to know who is on the committee and topics, etc. email me at weneedjohngalt9@yahoo.com You are on the committee if you committed to me to write an article and / or already submitted one.

Barry- Sorry for taking a bit long in getting back to you, work has been a little crazy lately. I will be working on the issue we talked about previously. I'll probably take you up on the other offer you made to me as well. I hope all is well.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to best sell ads in the LibPENN? We have had some folks suggesting this to raise funds. Should we make them affordable, like $20.00 for a quarter page, $35 for ½ page and $50.00 for a full page to encourage placement at a reasonable price. What about offering commission to several people to solicit ads? It becomes a part-time job. We could solicit Cato and www.freestateproject.org for sure. Thoughts anyone?

Barry- On the cheap, we could draw up a flier in MS Word to post in grocery stores, clubs, etc. Treasure Hunt Magazine gives out good rates. I did a marketing plan for a former employer and was able to negotiate a good rate with an AM radio station and it turned in a 300% ROI, so that may be an option too.

Anyone interested in selling ads for the LibPENN? Next issue is coming out very soon. Ads will be very cheap, say $25.00 - $50.00 A lot of possibilities for us here. If you are currently not a member, but would like a copy, email me your address ASAP to: weneedjohngalt9@yahoo.com

This may depend on how we want to mail the newsletter. Our bulk rate mailing permit is a non-profit permit, so we cannot use it if we have commercial advertising. 0ther non-profit ads, candidate ads etc. would be OK for the permit. Otherwise we'd have to use some other mailing option.

I believe they can be commercial as long as it relates to our mission. For example, libertarian T shirts, paraphernalia, etc. would be acceptable, auto insurance would not be. That is my recollection from a review of the postal codes a couple years back.

Everyone should have received their LibPENN Newsletter by now (if you are a $15 / year LPPA dues paying member). I welcome comments sent to weneedjohngalt9@yahoo.com Scary night as I write this. Very scary.
