Title: Some questions Post by: Geo66 on October 05, 2004, 10:43:16 pm Can somebody please help me. Are there any plans to have a party affiliation in Columbia county anytime soon. I just changed my registration from independent to Libertarian. I'm sitting here watching the V.P. and his Dem. opponet lie through their teeth on every topic and I feel very sick to my stomach. Is there anyone from the party running for any office in Columbia county? Or should I just vote straight party line?
Is there any plans to stop this flood wall that Bloomsburg wants to build with my tax dollars? I'm not sure that there's any activity at all here, but that's our responsibility, isn't it?
And is the town building the flood wall? I didn't think they wanted to? Something about not enough of the town being protected by it or whatever. I have to admit that I don't know who's running at the state level, but my intention is to vote for Badnarik and any other libertarian candidates that I can. And then republicans, only because they are the lesser of two evils. There is no county contact in Columbia county right now. http://www.lppa.org/counties/Columbia But there are county contacts in neighboring counties like Luzerne and Schuylkill. They might be able to help you start a county chapter. http://www.lppa.org/counties/Luzerne http://www.lppa.org/counties/Schuylkill You could also contact the Eastern Vice-Chair, Darren Wolfe. His email address is EVChair@lppa.org. The Eastern Vice-Chair's job is getting county affiliates setup. http://www.lppa.org/about/ Also, starting a Libertarian club at Bloomsburg University would be great! http://www.lp.org/organization/campus.php?state=PA http://www.lp.org/services/clh/ http://www.langguth-us.net/lpsc/PDF/Campus%20Organizing%202004%20v2.pdf It looks like Tom Martin is listed as the contact for Bloomsburg University. He lives near Penn State though, so you might be better off starting from scratch. Jim Lark is in charge of campus organizing for the LP. Contact him and he will give you a lot of useful information. http://www.lp.org/organization/lnc/directory.php Region 5 East Representative Jim Lark jwlark@dellmail.com PO Box 274 Free Union, VA 22940 434-973-5958
