Title: Stance on Hate Crime Bill? Post by: epasso on August 17, 2008, 06:03:16 am I've been reading a lot about the Hate Crime Bill (S. 1105) and just saw the "Legal Gender Status" thread in the Questions forum. Where does the Libertarian party stand on the Hate Crime Bill (S. 1105)?
Title: Re: Stance on Hate Crime Bill? Post by: djahn on August 17, 2008, 09:04:53 am I haven't read the hate crimes bill, but in some cases the name says enough. A crime is a crime. If we need thought police to determine why it was committed, then perhaps we aren't dealing with the underlying crime sufficiently. I believe most libertarians would oppose hate crime legislation. Just my opinion. David Jahn
