Title: He's Baaack! Perot Charts Post by: djahn on June 15, 2008, 05:07:00 pm http://perotcharts.com/ (http://perotcharts.com/) Wouldn't it be great if we could bring Perot into the Libertarian fold? Only if he takes some Ritalin before he speaks! ;D Title: Re: He's Baaack! Perot Charts Post by: bdively on June 15, 2008, 09:52:00 pm All this give a new meaning of Divide and Conquer. So many good people and organizations out there trying to do the right thing it is hard to pick and choose. What the hell, I signed up for this one too. Hedging my bets I guess.

Perot Charts Post by: Samantha1965 on June 16, 2008, 06:46:54 am Having spent some time with the Patriot/Reform Party, I can unequivocally say that I would not want Perot in the Party. Perot is a megalomaniac who wants to be the center of attention. The Reform Party was a means to his end and nothing else. Perot was so jealous that Jesse Ventura became so popular.

Regards, Samantha I guess what is really scarry is how many people would vote for him. What I meant by "bring him into the fold" was convert him to a Libertarian. He advocates for better public schools in the video on his home page. He must not have a clue. I'm sure we would find many of his ideas contrast with the concepts of liberty. IMO, the reform party failed because it was a top down, top heavy with little substance situation. only when an organization is bottom does it have any chance to succeed. IE Ron Paul Revolution, the LP.
Title: Re: He's Baaack! Perot Charts Post by: Ron Goodman on June 25, 2008, 10:47:57 pm I was very involved in the Perot campaigns for president and his United We Stand America organization. I would agree that Ross made mistakes in his political endevours but his heart was always in the right place.
He also knew that something was fundamentally wrong with the government and was willing to step up and do something about it. He was right on the money about the National Debt issue which is now over twice as large. Whether he controlled things too little or too much is debateable. I know that young organizations need a pretty dynamic leader to survive. I think the mistake he made was not taking a more active role in the Reform Party as a spokesman because he was listening to his critics. He also understood that it is pretty easy to silence a one man band which is why he really wanted a grassroots outpouring to run the party.
