It's a shame that the lefties seem to be the only ones making a public stand against the war.

:idea: The Jews did not fight Hitler--They died in peace.  Today the nation of Isreal fights to DEFEND itself. They live. Until god comes to earth to protect the peaceful, someone will have to do it for them,even while they complain about their protectors.

Who is that someone? You? Feel free to join the Israeli army and bulldoze houses to your heart's content . But, please don't sign me up for your religious war. I'm not one of the "chosen."

In Israel, Arabs are second class citizens just like blacks in the previously segregated US. What would you expect from a state that proclaims it's for one group only?

The Jews had no right to go into Palestine & set up their own country. This was aggression. It's true that the Palestinians aggressed against the individual Jews that went to Palestine pre 1948, but this hardly justifies taking over the country & instituting something akin to apartheid.

The peaceful don't need anyone to protect them. They only need to be allowed to practice their right to self-defense.

Gussser, I'm not sure what your post has to do with the war in Iraq. If you're trying to say that people that are anti-war are unwilling to defend the country, that's a red herring. Iraq was not only once a US ally, it never was a threat to us. It is Iraq that is defending itself from the American empire. Patrick Henry warned against going down this road:

"If we admit this consolidated government, it will be because we like a great splendid one. Some way or other we must be a great and mighty empire; we must have an army, a navy, and a number of things: When the American spirit was in its youth, the language of America was different: Liberty, Sir, was then the primary object…But now, Sir, the American spirit, assisted by the ropes and chains of consolidation, is about to convert this country to a powerful and mighty empire."
                             

The empire also destroys our freedoms at home:

Lastly, don't believe the gov's bull about why we need to fight people all over the world:
