Title: District Magistrate
Post by: rjest3@mail.francis.edu on December 07, 2004, 07:29:37 PM
Could anyone provide me with information on what one would have to do to qualify to run for the office of District Magestrate?
I am intersted and feel I have a good chance of winning a popular election, ESPECIALLY as a libertarian candidate.
Help me to further the party.

According to Ken Krawchuk:

I just checked my Rules of Court, and the qualifications for District Justice are pretty loose.  In general, if you're eligible to vote, you can run.  There are a lot of petty restrictions on what ethical actions you can or can't perform once you're on the ballot (such as not being able to comment on how you'd rule on a given matter), but nothing that would affect your ability to run.
