Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania supports ending Race Based Affirmative Action Government Programs!

Ward Connerly, an African-American, is leading the libertarian charge to end all race-based quotas and preferences in government policies. Ward Connerly is a self-made businessman who has had phenomenal success in ending race-based quotas and preferences within the University of California as a member of the Board of Regents. He has succeeded in spearheading Proposition 209 that ended the use of race-based quotas and preferences in the California State Government. His basic libertarian message is that preferential treatment based on race is a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Declaration of Independence, which states, "that all men are created equal".

Mr. Connerly also believes that race-based laws have a profoundly negative effect on society by inadvertently creating racist feelings from people who would otherwise never have a problem with race. The recipients of race-based preferences will always have to deal with the question of were they really good enough to make the cut without the unfair advantage. The Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania fully supports and honors the Civil Rights Act and the Declaration of Independence by advocating we put an end to race-based quotas and preferences.
